The Summer Pharmacy Institute (SPI) allows college students or prospective students who have already graduated to explore different areas of the pharmacy profession, including full day workshops devoted to current trends, research, and activities in each of the following focus areas: Hospital, Ambulatory Care, Industry/Research & Development, Community, Rural Healthcare, and Professionalism in the Field. SPI is split into two sessions, each four days long, that is hosted in person on our Rockford campus.

Session 1: June 2 – June 5, 2025
Session 2: June 9 – June 12, 2025

Applicants to the program must be a US citizen or permanent resident and fall into one of the following two categories:

  • Current undergraduate student who has not yet been admitted to a PharmD program/are not currently applying to a PharmD program
  • Student who may have already completed their undergraduate degree but who have not yet been admitted to a PharmD program/are not currently applying to a PharmD program
